This movie is a direct-to-dvd feature length movie about Superman and one of his big nemeses, the evil computer Brainiac.  Bruce Timm’s DC Animated universe has been praised by me before as containing some of the most brilliant entries into American animation ever. To quickly recap, first he did the Batman The Animated Series (and some derivations) that you all probably watched, then he did the Superman series. He also did Justice League (of which I’m a huge fan) and Batman Beyond, along with a few other entries. It looks like Timm movie.  It is NOT a Timm movie.
This is bad. This movie might be fun and good. I really dont know because I found it distractingly terrible–the movie featured a different Director, Writer and various replacement actors of those featured in the animated series. Despite having no real relationship to Timm’s Superman, it uses the same models and style as the animated series. The end result was a movie that felt a lot like watching “Aunt Vivian” in the latter seasons of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. It’s just too painful.  It might be good, honestly–but it’s so WRONG.
